Our Team
Horace C. Gordon, IV, CPA/PFS, CFP
Horace Gordon is the sole shareholder of Gordon & Associates, P.A., CPA’s, a local CPA and consulting firm. He is also the sole shareholder and the registered principal of Gordon & Associates Financial Advisors, Inc. a fee-only personal financial planning and wealth management firm. Both firms are based in Tampa, Florida. Horace specializes in financial planning, small business consulting, and tax planning and compliance for individuals and businesses. After receiving his BS in Accounting from the University of Florida, Horace began his professional career with KPMG Peat Marwick in the tax department of the Tampa office. After several years with KPMG, Horace joined with several KPMG alumni in building a successful Clearwater-based local accounting firm. In 1995, Horace formed Gordon & Associates, P.A., CPA’s, which is now a nine-person firm specializing in tax, accounting and business advisory services. In 1998, Gordon & Associates Financial Advisors, Inc. was formed to take over the financial planning and investment advisory services (collectively referred to as wealth management) practice. Gordon & Associates, P.A., CPA’s is a member of the Private Companies Practice Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Gordon & Associates Financial Advisors, Inc. is a Registered Investment Adviser – registered with the State of Florida Division of Securities.
Professionally, Horace is a member of the AICPA (including the Personal Financial Planning, Tax, and Information Technology Sections), the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) of which he is also a member of the statewide Personal Financial Planning Committee, the Institute of Certified Financial Planners (ICFP), and the International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP).
Horace is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) licensee, and has also received the PFS (Personal Financial Specialist) designation from the AICPA. This designation is available only to CPA’s who pass an AICPA-administered exam, meet certain financial planning experience requirements, and agree to meet certain continuing education requirements in the areas of financial planning in the future.
In the community, Horace is a past-President and Treasurer of The Downtown Corps, a past ex-officio Board Member of the Tampa Downtown Partnership, has served on both his church and the church’s parochial school finance committees, and is a member of the University of Florida Alumni Association and the Tampa Gator Club.
Most importantly, Horace is the husband of Dawn and the father of Rachel Marie and Horace V.

John P. d'Ambrosio, MBA - Business Advisory Services Manager
John P. d’Ambrosio is a Manager in the Business Advisory Services Division of Gordon & Associates, P.A., CPA’s. John received his BS in Computer Science in 1986 from The Citadel. Upon graduation, John was commissioned into the Air Force where he spent the next 5+ years as an instructor / evaluator pilot ensuring that pilots followed policies and procedures and completed missions in a safe manner. Upon discharge from the Air Force, John entered The University of South Carolina’s business school where he earned his MBA with a concentration in Finance in 1995. After graduation, John joined the consulting unit of Ernst & Young, LLP where he spent 4 years providing management and technology consulting services to the healthcare industry. Most recently, John was with a large hospital information system software company providing change management services to organizations that were implementing new technology. His key responsibility was to develop business solutions that combined the use of human capital, knowledge and information technology to ensure the realization of quality and the containment of costs.
John joined Gordon & Associates, P.A., CPA’s in August 2003. John specializes in small business consulting with a focus on general business operations and planning, change management and creating the most efficient business processes through the creation of best practice workflows that are enhanced through the use of technology.
In the community, John has done volunteer work supporting the Bern Laxer Memorial Scholarship Fund, the Second Harvest of Tampa Bay, and the DeBartolo Family Foundation. He is a member of the Tampa Bay Citadel Club.
John is the husband of Jackie and the father of two sons, J.P. and Tommy. They make their home in the New Tampa community.
Alina Q. Rennick, CPA - Senior Tax Consultant
Alina Rennick is a Senior Accountant in the Tax Department of Gordon & Associates, P.A., CPA's. Alina received her BA in Accounting in 1992 and her Masters of Accountancy from The University of South Florida.
While finishing her Masters degree, she began her career in Clearwater, Florida with Kirkland, Brakeman, Russ, Murphy & Tapp as a staff accountant.
Alina joined Gordon & Associates, P.A., CPA's in January 1998. Alina specializes in tax.
In the community, Alina has been a member of and served as Corresponding Secretary for Beta Alpha Phi. She has also worked as a volunteer for “Que Pasa USF”. Currently, she volunteers at her Church and her son’s school.
Alina is the wife of Brian and mother of two boys, Matthew & Andrew. They make their home in St. Petersburg.
